The Risk Management Bank is where your school maintains reusable risk groups, hazards, and controls that can be applied to excursions.

What this screen is for

  • Browse the bank as a tree.
  • Create and maintain reusable risk structures.
  • Tune what information is visible while browsing.

What you can see

  • Page title Risk Management Bank with subtitle Create reusable risk groups, hazards, and controls that can flow into excursions in linked mode.
  • A New Risk Group action.
  • A View Options menu with a Show in tree section containing toggles for:
    • Description
    • Lead responsible role
    • Severity
    • Likelihood
  • Loading and error states:
    • Loading risk bank…
    • Unable to load the risk bank with an error message
  • When the bank has content, an information card titled Linked inheritance ready explains how linked items behave when reused on excursions.
  • When there are no groups yet, an empty message encourages creating the first group.

Common actions

Create your first structure

Use New Risk Group to start a top-level group, then add hazards and controls from the tree menus.

Tune the tree display

Use View Options to show more detail directly in the tree when you need a quick scan without opening each item.

Permissions and read-only behaviour

Some controls may remain visible even when your workspace role cannot perform writes. If an action is not permitted, saving or destructive actions should fail with a clear error message.

Tips

  • Build bank content for patterns you reuse every year (transport, water, overnight stays).
  • Keep hazard titles short so searching and scanning stays easy.
  • Turn on likelihood and severity in the tree when reviewing a group for consistency.
